Every project is small enough for the founders to draw by hand and large enough to be done properly. We take on a handful each year.

We design spacesthat become morebeautiful with time.
Oak darkens, stone softens, plaster takes on the marks of a life. We choose materials that age well and treat light as part of the architecture, so a room keeps getting better long after we leave.

The Studio
Founded in New York in 2016, Harrison & Vale is a small team of architects, designers, and makers working from a converted print shop on Walker Street.
Claire Harrison
Creative Director
Claire trained in interior architecture in London and Milan before founding the studio. She leads every project's material story, from the first sample board to the last lamp.
Ethan Vale
Principal Architect
Ethan spent a decade restoring landmark townhouses across Manhattan and Brooklyn. He brings structure, proportion, and patience to every plan the studio draws.
